1ST INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF DIGITAL SOCIAL WORK

from September, 28th 2020 to September, 30th 2020

Call for Work Sessions

We invite members of the social work community to present their proposals for parallel sessions with a view to creating spaces for debate, analysis, reflection, and the exchange of research results. Proposals may be suggested by a maximum of two people from a relatd academic or professional field to social work and social intervention who have a background that will enable their group to be coordinated successfully.

The organising committee will assess the solidity, clarity, and interest of each proposal, which must contain the following sections:

1. Reference email
2. Full name of each coordinator
3. Institutional link: university, entity, etc.
4. Name of the working session
5. Brief justification of the topic to be addressed in the working session (approx. 250 words)
6. Objectives of the session
7. Profile of the contributions the coordinators expect to receive (approx. 100 words)
8. Three to five descriptors of the session

All proposals must be submitted before June 5, 2020, using the following automatic form: https://forms.gle/FKY6N6awbzqsyMot9

Once a session has been approved, the coordinators must provide a 10-minute video to present the session proposal; the video must include a description, the objectives, and the profile of the planned communications. In addition, the video must be available before June 15 to promote the work session and accompany the corresponding text.

The final acceptance of a work session is conditional on the session having at fewest four contributions presented and evaluated favourably alongside the registration of the session’s coordinators and speakers in the congress. The coordinators may obtain a reduced registration fee for the congress so long as their group has been approved by the organising committee.

Following the submission of a proposal, the organisation is authorised to disseminate its content on the Digital Social Work YouTube channel and throughout Digital Social Work network.

Because the congress is an international congress, although the language of the plenary sessions will be Spanish, the parallel sessions may be held in other languages (English, French, Portuguese, Italian, or a language proposed by the coordinator). In addition, all communications related to said parallel sessions may be presented in the language established by the coordinator. Once a proposed parallel session in a language ??other than Spanish has been selected, the language in which it will be held will be clearly specified on the website.
